Exhibit Guide Cover

The exhibition showcases key books from the history of Bible translation from 1522 to the present day, examining translations from the original languages into German, English, Gaelic, Scots and Ulster-Scots. It also exhibits several books written to develop readers’ understanding of the Bible.

The majority of books are from the Gamble Library’s collection. Also included are books borrowed from the Ulster-Scots Agency and the Russell Library, Maynooth University.

All visitors to the exhibition receive a free, full-colour leaflet discussing the background to each exhibited book. The exhibition is open 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, until the end of November. Visitors will be made very welcome.

Six online exhibitions on similar themes, which showcase the Library’s collections can also be viewed here.
