One of the world’s best known and inspirational missionaries, Amy Carmichael served in India for over 50 years but spent the early years of her young adult life in Belfast working among women in the mills – the "Shawlies".

This PHSI tribute will focus on Amy’s work in Belfast and on the "Welcome Hall" erected in 1887.
