and North Down and Ards Family History Society

This is an exhibition exploring the historical  links  since 1606
of Donaghadee and the Ards  Peninsula with Ulster-Scots.
You will also learn how to trace your family roots
using church records and other genealogy tools.

‘A Forenoon Aroon the Ards’
Ulster-Scots Coach Tour

This tour will take you across the Ards tracing
the history of the 1606 Hamilton/Montgomery settlement
as you follow in the footsteps of  Hugh Montgomery.

(Tour starts at the Ards Tourist Information Centre.)
