Ulster Unearthed – on UTV

Ulster Unearthed - a new archaeology and heritage series (6 episodes) which will reveal stories of Northern Ireland’s past and its Ulster-Scots links, started on Monday 7 January at 8.00 pm on UTV.  Also viewable later on UTV+1 at 9.00 pm.

The first episode about the site of a old fort at Dunnalong on the bank of the River Foyle was a useful visual recap of some of the material covered during the recent Stranmillis Lifelong Learning lecture series The Plantation of Ulster: Myths, Reality and Legacy presented by Dr William Roulston.

Later episodes deal with Carrickfergus and Bangor, localities with significant Ulster-Scots and Presbyterian connections.
