A lecture in First Derry Presbyterian Church  - "On the Edge of Darkness: The Presbyterian Community of the Laggan, East Donegal, 1880-1973" by the Rev Dr Brian Brown.

Saturday 15 June 2013 - Field Trip

The Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland’s Annual Field Trip which will visit a number of sites in the city of interest to Presbyterians.

A lecture in Kilfennan Presbyterian Church - ‘The Rev Dr James Denham, Pastor, Preacher and Defender of Presbyterianism’ by the Rev Ivor Smith.
Rev Dr Denham was the first minister to be installed in Great James Street Presbyterian Church in Derry in 1837 and became Moderator of the General Synod of Ulster in 1839.

The next  General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland will take place at the city's Millennium Forum from Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th June 2013.

(Meetings of the General Assembly in Londonderry were held in the years of 1844, 1858, 1875, 1884, and 1933.)
