Donacloney Presbyterian Meeting House Subscribers 1795

Donaghcloney Presbyterian Church dating back to about 1748 was a Secession erection.

Its first settled minister was the Rev John Thompson who was installed in 1763.  The original meeting house was a mud-walled, thatched building which under the ministry of the Rev George Hay (1791- 1829) was demolished and a new building of stone and lime was erected in Ballynabragget townland that was capable of seating 500 people.

The subscription list records the names of those who agreed to contribute to the building of this new church and the amount subscribed.
