The Session Book of 1st Armagh Presbyterian Church contains marriages, 1707-28, which were originally published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland Vol 8 1898. The Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland has produced an index to the marriages.
From 1717-28 there is a notable decrease in the number of marriages recorded, whether due to a failure on the part of the minister to record them or to the increasing pressure brought to bear on Presbyterians by the Church of Ireland who claimed the exclusive right to perform marriages.
