A recent addition to the Society's Library is the book "New Life for Churches in Ireland: Good Practice in Conservation and Reuse" edited by Paul Harron (published by the Ulster Historic Churches Trust, 2012).
In this publication the Ulster Historic Churches Trust provides examples of best practice in the reuse of redundant and underused places of worship across the island of Ireland. Also included are schemes for the conversion of churches for domestic, cultural, commercial and community use.
The book is well illustrated with architectural drawings and photographs.
The Presbyterian church buildings examined in the book are:
- Duncairn Presbyterian Church, Belfast
- Elmwood Presbyterian Church, Belfast
- Portaferry Presbyterian Church
- Roscommon Presbyterian Church
