Advantages and benefits of Membership
Membership of the Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland is open to anyone interested in researching Presbyterianism in Ireland.
By being a Member you:
- help in the preservation of records of the Presbyterian Churches in Ireland for historians, present and future
- help in the maintenance and spread of the knowledge of God's acts in the past and inspiration for the future
- support the maintenance of a library of priceless books and manuscripts, some dating back to the seventeenth century
- support the Society's educational programme through its lecture series and exhibitions
There are four categories of membership: Life, Annual, Student and Associate.
Applications for Life, Annual and Student membership should be made to the Librarian.
Annual membership costs £15.00, Life membership £75.00 and Student membership £5.00.
A downloadable application form for Life, Annual and Student membership is available below.
Individuals can only join online as Associate Members. Associate Members do not enjoy voting rights, nor do they receive the annual Bulletin. These benefits are only open to Annual and Life Members. Associate membership lasts for twelve months, but can be renewed.
All members - Annual, Life, Student and Associate - have access to the History of Congregations database and back issues of the Bulletin of the Presbyterian Historical Society.
The History of Congregations database does not contain details of births/baptisms, marriages and deaths/burials, nor does the Society undertake genealogical research.
The Council of the Presbyterian Historical Society reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of Associate Membership from time to time as the need arises.
